We we ashes to acknowledge we are sinners.
“Fasting cleanses the soul, raises the mind, subjects one’s flesh to the spirit, renders the heart contrite and humble, scatters the clouds of concupiscence, quenches the fire of lust, and kindles the true light of chastity. Enter again into yourself.”
- St. Augustine of Hippo.
"... and unto dust you shall return."
"As Lent is the time for greater love, listen to Jesus' thirst...'Repent and believe' Jesus tells us. What are we to repent? Our indifference, our hardness of heart. What are we to believe? Jesus thirsts even now, in your heart and in the poor -- He knows your weakness. He wants only your love, wants only the chance to love you."
-- Saint Teresa of Calcutta
Visiting or New to our Parish, Interested in becoming Catholic, seeking to return to practicing your faith and or an active member of the parish, we are pleased with your visit to our website, where we will try to provide assistance and answers to your questions.
Founded in 1904, today two hundred and sixty families call St. John Maron, their parish. We are a traditional church for the modern faithful. While we strive to maintain the traditional Maronite Rituals with our prayerful community, we strive to remain family friendly, alert to our community needs, helping the poor, through community involvements by our Parish Associations.
Our Associations offer every member the opportunity to practice their faith through actions, The Altar Rosary (Ladies), the Holy Name (Men Organization), M.Y.O (Youth Organization), The Knights of Columbus and their Ladies Auxiliary (Faith-Family-Fraternity). Our Services and prayers carried through the Angelic voices of our Children and Adult Choirs and musicians, offering more opportunities to use our talents praising the Lord.
