The guest speaker, Dr. Nicolas Saikali, well known professional in this field, discussed the different types of migraine headaches and their effect women and men, as well at the results of the severe types of migraine headaches, leading to crime and suicide as well as taking its toll on the economy even.
An Amazing 12% of the us population, men, women and children suffer from some type of migraine headache, the third most prevalent illness in the world.
Dr. saikali discussed how this illness can be most disabling. Neurological symptoms and causes.
According to Dr. Saikeli, Migraine is not just a simple bad headache. For many Migraine is a chronic disease that does diminishes the quality of life. Almost 10 percent of patients with migraines miss one or more days a week of work.
Migraine affects women more than men and can effect children as well, in most cases boys more than girls before puberty. though science did not find a cure for Migraine, Dr. Saikali confirmed there is effective treatments available now to deal with the different type of Migraine.
Recognizing the symptoms and the signs earlier remain a contributing factor to the treatments success. Dr. Saikali explained how to early detect and recognize the different symptoms and encouraged to seek treatment as soon as possible.
