Revised Statement on the Coronavirus

Dear Brother Priests, Deacons and Sub-deacons, Religious Men and Women, and Lay Faithful:

These days of the Coronavirus have been most difficult. We look to God and to modern science to help us in our great need. The Center for Disease Control has recommended that social gatherings are to be avoided for the next 8 weeks. Some states have prohibited such gatherings by law, giving regulations on the numbers of people gathered. This gives us deep pause to reflect on what our 45 parishes ought to do as we look for a way forward in this new reality. Read Letter in Full 

Spiritual Communion Prayer during Live Streaming of the Mass.

St. John Maron Church will be streaming live the Masses at the regular scheduled hours, Saturday and Sunday.  We will attempt to stream the Mass on two facebook sites, the church site and the site of Tony Moussa.  We hope to allow as many people to participate in the Mass and the Spiritual Communion.  At the time of communion and as the priest is receiving communion, the faithful can participate in the Spiritual Communion praying the following prayer as offered in Bishop Mansour letter below.  (the Prayer is translated to Arabic as well):

Prayer for Spiritual Communion

  O Divine Ocean of Mercy and Compassion be with us in our time of trial and difficulties. Today I make an act of spiritual communion with you, the Life-Giving Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. At this time, I am not able to receive the sacred body and blood of my Lord, God and Savior Jesus Christ, but I choose to live in union with him and in the unity of the Holy Spirit. I offer my day, my daily life, my joys and sorrows to you, for those around me, and for the whole world. Be with us O life-giving Triune God, for we know that nothing in this world has power over us. O Lover of all people have mercy on us and on the whole world.

 يا أَيُها المُحيطُ الإلهي من الرَحْمَةِ والرأفَة، كُنْ مَعَنا في وَقْتِ التَجْرِبَةِ والصُعوبات.  اليومَ، إِني أَقومُ بعمل شراكةٍ روحيةٍ معكَ، يا واهِبَ الثالوثِ المعطي الحياة، أَيها الآبُ، والإبنُ والروحِ القُدُس.  ففي هذا الوَقت، إني لا أستطيعُ أن أتناولَ جَسَدَ وَدَمَ ربي، إلهي ومخلصي يسوع المسيح المقدس، لكنني اختَرتُ أن احيا في اتحادٍ معه وفي وحدةِ الروحِ القُدُسْ. إني أقدِمُ يومي، وحياتي اليومية، أَفراحي وأَحزاني لَكَ، لِكُلِ مَنْ هو حَولي، وللعالمِ بأَسْرِهِ. كُنْ معنا أَيُها الثالوثُ الإِلهي المُعطي الحَياة، لأَننا نَعْلَمُ أَن لا شَيءَ في هذا العالمِ لَهُ قُوَةٌ عَلينا.  يا مُحبَ البَشرْ إِرْحَمنا وارْحَم العالَم أَجمَع.

Hospital & Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick

Please call and notify the parish so that we can attend to your spiritual needs.


The seven sacraments are baptism, confirmation, Eucharist, penance, anointing of the sick, marriage and holy orders. They are divided into three categories: sacraments of initiation, sacraments of healing and sacraments of service.


For Baptisms and Confirmation, please contact the parish office to set a date and to make arrangements with the pastor. call or email your request to:



Please contact the Pastor as soon as possible after the death of a loved one and prior to making any arrangements.



Marriage arrangements must be made Six (6) Months in advance with the pastor.  Date of marriage must be confirmed with the Pastor before any other arrangements are made.  Parishioners who plan to get married outside of the United States, and need a testimonial for Free State to Marry, must contact the Pastor in advance.
